NUCSAFE INC. RELEASES GUARDIAN SHIELD AREA MONITOR RADIATION DETECTOR

Oak Ridge, TN –March 15, 2017 – Nucsafe Inc., a developer and manufacturer of radiation detection equipment, today announced it has released the Guardian Shield Area Monitor Radiation Detector. The Guardian Area Monitor is the first area monitor radiation detection in Nucsafe’s Guardian® family of radiation detection systems. This system utilizes a built-in Geiger-Müeller tube standard with an operating range up to 1 R/hr. Optional detectors allow this device to detect neutrons, perform spectroscopy, location, and report environmental conditions. The Nucsafe Guardian® Shield Area Monitor also provides the user: gamma exposure rate, gamma counts, neutron counts, location. The system can be monitored remotely using common browsers.

NUCSAFE INC.’S LITHIUM-6 GLASS FIBER SOARS ABOVE EARTH ON THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION IN A NASA DESIGNED INSTRUMENT

Nucsafe Inc., a developer and manufacturer of radiation detection equipment, announced its lithium-6 glass fiber is currently travelling aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The lithium-6 glass fiber, manufactured by Nucsafe, was incorporated into an instrument designed and developed by NASA and sent to the ISS. This instrument was developed to monitor radiation exposure to neutrons.

“This is an exciting event to be included as a component in a project like this. The opportunity is literally out of this world. It shows that the work Nucsafe does truly has no boundaries.”, said Bill Richardson, Nucsafe’s Chief Commercialization Officer.

Nucsafe’s Guardian Lithium-6 Glass is neutron sensitive and is available in various forms including: fiber, rods, discs, plates and tubes.

NUCSAFE INC. COMPLETES DEPLOYMENT CONTAMINATION RADIATION DETECTION SYSTEMS FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN

Nucsafe Inc. today announced it has successfully completed the deployment of contamination radiation detection systems for Tokyo Metropolitan Port Authority, Yokohama City Port Authority and Yokohama Port Association. This deployment utilizes Nucsafe’s Guardian® Radiation Detection Systems to scan cargo containers being exported from Japan for radiation contamination as a result of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. These large area systems are unique in their uniform dose rate response. With this deployment, Nucsafe provided radiation detection systems, which ensure cargo containers are free from contamination for shipment around the world.

Nucsafe’s X-Ray backscatter radiography technology used on the NASA’s Space Shuttle is featured on ABC’s Knoxville affiliate WATE. This technology first used by NASA in the Space Shuttle’s 2005 return to flight is playing a major role in the Space Shuttle Discovery’s preparation for flight.

NUCSAFE INC. ENTERS INTO AGREEMENT WITH NUCOR CORP. TO SUPPLY RADIATION DETECTION SYSTEMS

Oak Ridge, TN – January 19, 2010 – Nucsafe Inc. today announced it has entered into an agreement with Nucor Corporation to provide radiation detection systems and monitoring services. These systems will be located at all 18 Nucor steel mill locations across the United States. This placement will allow Nucsafe’s Guardian® Radiation Detection Systems to scan all incoming materials entering the facilities, and at various additional locations before the scrap metal is recycled.

With this agreement, Nucsafe will provide radiation detection systems, remote alarm monitoring, automatic email and SMS messaging, systems maintenance and 24/7 on-call and on-site service. “These highly advanced radiation detection systems will be one more key element in Nucor’s implementation of a holistic approach to their radiation detection program. Nucsafe looks forward to providing Nucor the same level of technical expertise, sophistication and support that our military, homeland security, and first responder clients already enjoy”, said Steve Tymoszuk, Nucsafe Systems Product Manager.

Nucsafe wins Governor’s Award for Trade Excellence

NASHVILLE, Sept. 14, 2009 – Governor Phil Bredesen and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Matt Kisber today announced that La-Z-Boy of Tennessee of Dayton, Nucsafe, Inc. of Oak Ridge and World Trade Consult, LLC in Memphis are the recipients of the third annual Governor’s Awards for Trade Excellence. The GATE recognition honors large, medium and small-size companies who have achieved excellence in engaging in global trade.
